Asian Business Association of Los Angeles, Inc. a non
profit corporation (“ABA”) provides this web site to (i)
foster communication and business relationships among our
members, (ii) as a means of communication with our members,
(iii) to foster business between relationships between
selected third parties and our members. This privacy policy
is intended to advise you as to what information we gather
and how we use it.
Information Collection Policy
ABA collects two types of information:
1. Personal Information
When you sign up as a member, you may
be asked to provide personal information. Personal data
may also be requested when registering for ABA sponsored
programs, events or services. Information including
contact information, e-mail addresses, business products
or services provided, and member to member discounts are
listed on the website to foster the goals of the
organization. This information may be shared with
selected nonmembers who express a desire to do business
with our members. We may also be required to disclose
information under applicable laws of legal process or to
protect our rights.
2. Website Activity Data
Activity data is gathered through
several methods, and is generally tracked as a whole
rather than individually. General activity information
is gathered to help us to understand the volume of
traffic we receive, improve our website and to identify
areas of the website which might be improved or changed.
ABA reserves the right but has no obligation to track
individual activity in order to identify or help prevent
abuse, other improper uses, system maintenance or as may
be required by applicable law. In order to provide on
line event registration or e-commerce activities
individual activity may also be tracked.
Cookies and Tracking

file is used in order to track your traffic patterns on a
particular site and contains information that can
anonymously identify you. This information is encrypted for
security purposes. ABA may use cookies to help measure the

ABA reserves the right to change this privacy policy at any
time. When changes are made they will be posted to the

Our website may from time to time contain links to third
party sites. We do not control the privacy policies, data
collection, and terms of conditions of the use of any of
these other websites and are not responsible for their

matter we will try to identify third party links or
affiliate sites as such but if you have any questions about

accurate and fair. From time to time we may have articles
which discuss legal issues however this content is not
intended to serve as legal advice. Users who have specific

and third parties and we do not conduct a fact check or

(ii) is libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, abusive
or otherwise violates any law; or
(iii) Contains viruses, "worms", "trojan horses" or any

further, any illegal purposes. The ABA reserves the right,
in its sole discretion, to edit or delete any User Submitted
Data uploaded to the website in violation of the foregoing.
5. CONFIDENTIALITY
The ABA agrees to protect and maintain the confidentiality
of User Submitted Data in accordance with the policies,
methods, and procedures set forth in the privacy statements
and security policies on the website.
6. TERMINATION
If we believe you have violated these Terms and Conditions,
we may terminate your access to the website.
7. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the ABA (and its
directors, officers, employees, control persons, suppliers,
licensors and agents) from and against any and all claims,
losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses (including
reasonable attorney's fees and costs) arising out of or
related to: (a) your breach of your agreements,
representations and warranties contained in these Terms and

of the ABA or any third-party information provider,

other intellectual property rights and publicity and privacy

8. COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS

programs and use of our website, and will not engage in any
act that has an adverse impact on the performance or

mail. In any matter requiring ABA's prior consent, such

9.2 Except as herein provided, no waiver, modification or
amendment of any provision of these Terms and Conditions
shall be effective against the ABA unless the same is in
writing and signed by an authorized official of the ABA. The
ABA may modify these terms and conditions at any time upon
written notice or posting to the website. You agree that if
you access and or use the website after notification of
changes in these Terms and Conditions, you will be bound by
all such changes.
9.4 The ABA's failure to insist at any time upon strict
compliance with any term of these Terms and Conditions, or
any delay by the ABA in enforcing these Terms and
Conditions, or a continued course of such conduct on the
ABA's part shall at no time operate as a waiver of such
power or right, nor shall any single or partial exercise
preclude any other future exercise. If any provision of
these Terms and Conditions is declared invalid or otherwise
unenforceable, the enforceability of the remaining
provisions shall be unimpaired, and the parties shall
replace the invalid or unenforceable provision with a valid
and enforceable provision that reflects the original
intentions of the parties as nearly as possible in

will be governed by and construed and enforced in accordance
with the substantive law of the State of California. The
parties consent to venue in Los Angeles, California, and to
the jurisdiction of competent federal or state courts for
