About Chien
|
Chien J. Wang has started two successful businesses. Chien immigrated to the United States from Taiwan with his family at the age of 11, and did not speak a word of English.
Chien acquired his hard working ethic at his father’s food distribution business. He worked through out his entire school career in preparation for his ultimate goal, which was to start his own business. He attended University of Southern California in Los Angeles, and graduated with a degree in business administration and entrepreneurship.
Chien finally realized his goal in 1991 by launching Toujours Products, Inc. at the age of 22 with $4,000 he had saved in college. The company distributed awards and personalized gifts to hundreds of retail outlets in the U.S. He worked between 80 to100 hours a week in the first six years of the business to build the company from the ground up. Ultimately, his vision had connected with many of his customers, and the rest is history.
In 2004, Chien spotted another opportunity when he realized that many award and promotional products retailers were not properly servicing their corporate clients. Chien launched his second venture Award Elements, LLC. His goal is to bring more professionalism to the promotional products industry.
Chien has compiled his networking and business experience into his book entitled “It’s Who Knows YOU – Network Your Way To Success”. He is also a public speaker and had spoken at various organizations such as Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and Kiwanis Club. He is available to speak to your company or organizations on improving your networking skills, personal branding, and building relationships for life.
Chien is much more than a hard working entrepreneur. He takes pride in being diverse with his knowledge and interests. Wang is also a historian, philosopher, world traveler, philanthropist and a photo journalist. He is a RV enthusiast and a big fan of USC Football.
