Year in Review
As we prepare for the upcoming holiday season, most of us often reflect on our achievements and accomplishments during this past year. As an association, we too evaluate our programs and activities to better serve our members.
ABA began the year with an energy savings event at Sempra Utilities with 7 different Asian-based organizations. Members had the opportunity to network with many business prospects and had exposure to other groups that may be helpful to their businesses. At our golf tournament, we enjoyed building relationships with many corporations, public agencies, associates and members on all levels. MWD gave our members insight on how to do business with them through their simple certification process. We celebrated Asian Heritage month on the historical Queen Mary. ABA partnered with Southern California Edison to produce the business education seminar, “Keys to Business Success”. We learned to master the mixer with Susan Silver at American Honda. At our 27th Annual Awards Banquet, we drew many corporations, public agencies, elected officials, business leaders and media coverage. We also teamed up with Career Partners and Rosemead Chamber of Commerce in our recent business mixer. Do not forget our Membership Appreciation Night on Friday, December 5, for more opportunity to network and have fun.
On behalf of the ABA Board Directors, I would like to thank you for your support and participation in all of our events this past year. We will continue to strive in assisting and strengthening our members’ economic well-being.
